Students admitted to an undergraduate degree program at Northwestern University will receive detailed instructions with their admission packet about the process for obtaining a visa. In order for Northwestern to issue a certificate of eligibility for visa status I or DSan admitted student must enroll at the University and show financial documentation guaranteeing their ability to pay for the first year of study.

We review grades, test scores, writing samples and recommendations. QuestBridge Northwestern partners with QuestBridge to help identify high school seniors who have shown outstanding academic ability despite financial challenges through a process called College Match.
Ranking colleges through the College Match means that you are entering an agreement with the college that if you are matched, you are committed to attending that college and you must withdraw any other college applications.
Eligibility In order to be eligible to apply to the National College Match in the fall ofapplicants must graduate from high school during or before the summer of and plan to enroll as a freshman in college in the fall of Citizens and Permanent Residents or Students, regardless of citizenship, currently attending high school in the United States.

QuestBridge dates and deadlines Note: Applicants applying via Questbridge to the Bienen School of Music must complete their performance audition or upload a final recording by November Students who have completed the equivalent of one semester of full-time study 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours are eligible to apply to the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.
In order to apply as a transfer student to the remaining five schools, you must have completed one academic year of full-time work 24 semester hours or 36 quarter hours at a postsecondary institution. You are eligible to apply for transfer admission while in the process of completing one full-year of college coursework, as long as you will have completed that coursework prior to the start of the term in which you plan to enroll.
Please note the following possible restrictions to transfer applications: The School of Communication: Theatre department spaces are only occasionally available. The Bienen School of Music: Contact the Bienen School of Music to inquire if a vacancy exists in your performance area and to schedule an audition.
Due to the limited number of openings each year in the Bienen School of Music, transfer applicants are encouraged to audition in February during our published audition dates.
If you wish to take your audition for the Bienen School in February, you must follow the application and prescreening deadlines above for Freshman Regular Decision.

The time has come. The Common App essay prompts for have been released and—spoiler alert—they’re exactly the same as last year’s! In the Common App added two new prompts to the pile, one of which was a return to the much-beloved “topic of your choice.” (Cue the confetti!).
The Common Application comes out officially August 1. But they already announced the changes for this coming season.
The most important were changes to the five essay prompts. (You can write your main Common App essay about one of the five.) Beside the prompts, there were two other. Each transfer student brings to the College a different level of artistic capability and academic achievement based on a variety of post-secondary educational experiences.
Some students transfer to the College as freshmen, others as sophomores and juniors.
A limited number of spaces is available each year within each department, and . Undocumented or DACA Students. We welcome applications from undocumented and DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) students. You apply in the same way U.S. citizens and permanent residents do, and your application will be considered the same way U.S citizens and permanent residents are, by the regional admissions officer responsible for where you attend high school.
